Officer-involved shooting under investigation at Old Fort Parkway

Murfreesboro Police are investigating what happened after a shooting that involved an officer at a hotel on Old Fort Parkway. Police say officers tried to serve a warrant at the Clarion Inn & Suites around 6:53 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, when shots were fired. According to Public Safety Public Information Officer Larry Flowers, officers knocked on the door of one of the rooms but the person inside refused to come out. Moments later the door opened and the man had an object in one hand and charged toward officers.
