AURORA, Colo. — Toledo Fire and Rescue Department Chief Allison Armstrong is facing a weekslong recovery after being injured in a crash Friday evening in Aurora, WTOL reports . A fire department spokesman told WTOL that Armstrong was traveling to the 40th Annual IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial in Colorado Springs when the crash happened. In a Facebook post Saturday, Armstrong said her vehicle was totaled after she was hit and pushed into a concrete barrier wall. Aurora police said the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m.
