Ohio high school football Division I-II stars: Meet the fans’ top early-season picks

Throughout the summer, cleveland.com featured the best high school football players in Ohio. In Division III, we went position by position shining a spotlight on the top quarterbacks , running backs , receivers , linemen , linebackers and defensive backs across the state entering the 2026 season. After we released each list (which leaned heavily on preseason input from coaches), we turned it over to fans, who voted for the best of the best at each position. Here were the top vote-getters in each poll (including links to the complete lists and polls).
