Ohio Supreme Court case to decide if residents get any say on data center in their back yards

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The rules for raising your electric bill have changed. After months of hearings, thousands of pages of documents, and arguments over nearly every detail, Ohio’s utility regulator approved a brand-new rulebook this week that spells out what electric companies must prove before they can charge customers more. The result is a 678-page order built around one surprisingly simple question: What does a utility like FirstEnergy or AEP Ohio have to show before it can ask you to pay more?. The mandate to rewrite those rules came from House Bill 15 , a major energy law state lawmakers passed last year .
