OHP: Person hit and killed while trying to run across I-35 in southeast OKC

Authorities say a person trying to cross Interstate 35 in southeast Oklahoma City died after being hit by a driver early Wednesday morning. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report states that the incident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. on northbound I-35 near Southeast 44th Street. Troopers said the pedestrian was running across the interstate and on-ramp while a driver was getting onto I-35 from Southeast 44th Street. Authorities found the driver, who troopers said is cooperating with the investigation. Information about the pedestrian has not been released.
