Oklahoma City police investigate crashes that left pedestrian dead and motorcyclist hospitalized

Oklahoma City police said one person is dead after being hit by a car overnight. Police said the incident occurred at Southwest 59th Street and Shartel Avenue. The victim has not been identified, and authorities did not say whether any arrests were made. In a separate collision, police said a motorcyclist crashed near South Shields Boulevard and Interstate 240 and is in very critical condition. Authorities are continuing their investigations into both incidents.
