Updated: September 22, 2026 @ 10:40 pm STAUNTON, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- At the request of the Staunton Police Department, the Virginia State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Walmart on Richmond Avenue. An adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.
