LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — An off-duty Las Vegas police corrections officer was hospitalized Monday night after a shooting on West Cheyenne Avenue, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Officers said they responded at approximately 8:43 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 7600 block of West Cheyenne Avenue, near Buffalo Drive. Arriving officers said they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. During the investigation, police said they learned the victim was an off-duty LVMPD corrections officer.
