Organic egg recall in San Diego County tied to salmonella outbreak

An organic egg farm in San Diego County has issued a recall after California health officials linked its eggs to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 23 people and hospitalized seven. Eggs from the farm "Happy Hens" were distributed to restaurants, grocery stores, and farmers markets across Southern California and along the Central Coast. They were also sold to consumers in cartons of one dozen, 18, 20, and 30 counts. The recalled eggs have sell-by dates of September 10, September 13, and September 24. Health officials recommend that people throw out the eggs or return them for a refund.
