CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRC) - The parents of a nonverbal girl were arrested after she was found dead in a body of water without her “Lifesaver” device. According to WPDE, 70-year-old John Herb Haynes III and 31-year-old Geordyn Nichole Hayes were taken into custody Tuesday in Carter County, Tennessee, after their 5-year-old nonverbal daughter was found dead in South Carolina. The report states that the body of 5-year-old Saylor Hayes was recovered from a body of water near Hagley Landing in the Pawleys Island area after an extensive multi-agency search. She was reported missing after she wandered away from a rental home in Hagley Estates, per WPDE.
