Passenger killed in head-on Route 206 crash is ID’d by police

Authorities have identified the passenger killed in a head-on crash Saturday on Route 206 in Andover Township as an 83-year-old woman. Nancy Tevis was in a northbound passenger car when the driver, a 60-year-old Lake Hiawatha woman, crossed over the center line and hit a southbound SUV at 2:15 p.m., Andover Township police said. The crash took place near the township’s border with Andover Borough. Tevis, of Hopatcong, died of her injuries at an area hospital. The 60-year-old Lake Hiawatha woman driving the passenger car and the 58-year-old Andover Township woman driving the SUV were both hospitalized with injuries.
