A Kerr County woman died Saturday night after she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a highway, according to the Kerrville Police Department. Officers responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Junction Highway, police said in a Facebook post . Jeanne Avalos, 46, was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, officers said. Further investigation revealed that Avalos was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities, police stated.
