Pedestrian struck, killed in Ocean County Friday night
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lakewood on Friday evening, authorities said. The person was hit at 7:04 p.m. Friday on Lenape Trail, according to State Police fatal crash data. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office referred questions about the incident to Lakewood police, who didn’t respond to inquiries from NJ.com on Monday or Tuesday. Lenape Trail is just off County Line Road and runs along the Jackson border.
