Person, dog found dead following Pima County house fire
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A person and a dog were found dead after a house fire in Pima County late Sunday, Aug. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it happened in the 15000 block of South Connor Place near Mescal. The PCSD said Mescal and Benson fire crews worked for hours to extinguish the blaze, but the home sustained serious damage, including a collapsed roof. Arson detectives located human and canine remains in the home. The person has not been identified, and the remains were transported to the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner for an autopsy and identification.
