Person found dead inside house fire in northwest Las Vegas Valley

A person was found dead inside a burning home Wednesday night in the northwest Las Vegas Valley. Crews were called at 7:10 p.m. to the one-story residence in the 7000 block of Majestic Bay Street, near Farm Road and North Decatur Boulevard, according to a Las Vegas Fire & Rescue release Thursday. Metropolitan Police Department officers, in the area on an unrelated call, began evacuating neighboring residences as firefighters responded, the release said. The first unit found the residence fully engulfed in flames.
