One person was shot near the University of Cincinnati early afternoon, Sept. Officers responded to a report of a shooting at around 12:38 p.m. near a restaurant in the 2600 block of Short Vine Street, according to a Cincinnati police news release. When they arrived, they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. An officer on scene said he was shot in the stomach. The victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with injuries not considered life threatening.
