Both Dedham and Westwood police and fire departments responded where they found an injured person in one of the vehicles, and worked to extinguish the fire, police said. Officials haven't released additional information at this time, including what may have caused the deadly crash, but Ojuolape said speeding is a problem on Washington Street. "A lot of people speed down this street, you probably see like 80 miles per hour on a daily basis, especially at night, people don't pay attention at all to those miles per hours," she said. "This is like the worst we've seen so far, I mean people crash into fences and everything. but this is like one of the worst accidents we saw on this street specifically." The roadway was closed while authorities conducted their on-scene investigation.
