Police: 20-year-old pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in North College Hill

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says that a pedestrian is dead after a crash in North College Hill. According to deputies, the crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday as 20-year-old Rony Vasquez Cardona was crossing West Galbraith Road at the street's intersection with Noble Avenue. As he was doing so, police say that a 2012 black Dodge barreled through the intersection, striking Cardona. Cardona was pronounced dead a short time later as first responders arrived on scene. The Finneytown native was said by officers to be an employee at Skally's Old World Bakery, which is located at the intersection.
