Police arrest two in Boise drive-by shooting. Teen faces murder charge

Police announced the arrest of two suspects in a drive-by shooting that occurred at a Boise house party over the weekend. The Boise Police Department said Thursday that officers arrested a 17-year-old boy in Caldwell on a charge of first-degree murder; the agency is withholding his name because he is a juvenile. They also arrested Ulisses Macareno, 18, of Meridian, on a charge of aiding and abetting murder. “Evidence indicates the 17-year-old fired a weapon during the shooting and Macareno was driving the vehicle,” police said in a news release. Macareno was arrested with help from Meridian police, and both the Nampa and Caldwell police departments assisted in the 17-year-old’s arrest, the release said. Police responded shortly before 6 a.m.
