'Police can't solve this alone': Mobile officials urge community help after shooting

What was supposed to be a celebration ended in tragedy. Just after returning home from celebrating her 51st birthday with friends, Mobile police say Genade Colley was sitting in her car outside of her Rickarby Street home she was struck in the head by a stray bullet fired nearby. Mobile's Public Safety Director, Curtis Graves, has made frequent visits to see Genade Colley since he found out about the shooting last week. "Genade is a beautiful person. Her spirit is something I've never seen in my life. She's a person of encouragement yet she's going through her ordeal," Graves said.
