Police identify man killed in NE Portland shooting; no arrests made
Police have released the name of the man who was shot to death in Northeast Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood on Tuesday night. Arturo Armas Jr., 30, died of homicide by gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner. Another man, who has not been publicly identified, was wounded in the shooting, police said. His condition is not known at this time. Officers responding to a shooting call shortly after 9 p.m. on September 15 found the two men who’d been shot in a parking lot near Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive, according to a Portland Police Bureau statement.
