Newport police said a second suspect in connection with a double shooting was identified. Two people were injured in a shooting in the area of Truman Street and Rosedale Avenue on July 19. As officers arrested Tyquan Johnson, 19, in Newport News, Virginia, last Wednesday, police said Nasydi Brown was also present at the residence. Brown, who was wanted by Hampton police in Virginia, was later identified as the second suspect involved in the double shooting. Newport police said they obtained a warrant charging Brown with felony assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm in a compact area.
