SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) - Police are investigating after a deadly shooting in south Springfield early Sunday morning. According to Springfield Police , at 2:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 Block of E. Once on scene, police said they found 22-year-old Codey Martinez, of Springfield, who had been shot. Martinez died at the scene. Investigators identified a suspect who was later arrested by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G in Ozark County, Mo.
