Police investigating after woman fatally shot through apartment door in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating after a woman fatally shot another woman through an apartment door in North Philadelphia early Tuesday morning. Police later learned the woman who died was a resident who lived in a different unit of the building on West Girard Avenue, by 16th Street. Whether she was intentionally trying to break into someone else's apartment, or she was confused and at the wrong door, remains under investigation. Police say the apartment door was locked and required a key code for entry.
