Police investigating deadly shooting outside home; suspect at large

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Police are searching for a suspect after a homeowner was shot and killed outside his residence Sunday evening. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while the victim, a Hispanic man, was working on the exterior of his home. His wife and children were inside the house at the time of the shooting. Investigators say an unidentified Black male in his 20s or 30s drove up to the residence, at which point a physical altercation broke out between the two men. Police believe the confrontation may have stemmed from an attempted robbery, though a definitive motive has not yet been established.
