Following the arrest, investigators executed a search warrant at Taylor’s home, where officers discovered a dead dog that had suffered lacerations and apparent gunshot wounds. Taylor was booked on requested charges including attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, felony interference with law enforcement, cruelty to animals (malicious killing), criminal damage to property, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Officers found Taylor nearby a short time later without a weapon and took him into custody without further incident.
