A shooting near the University of Notre Dame injured two people, including a police officer, and prompted a temporary shelter-in-place order on Saturday night. The South Bend Police Department said around 7:30 p.m., officers were notified by the Notre Dame Police Department that a man had been seen carrying a gun and was reportedly pointing it at people.
