Police search for person of interest in Lawrence triple shooting

Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with a Monday afternoon shooting near two Lawrence schools that left three young males injured. Lawrence police responded to the shooting at the intersection of Exeter and East Dalton streets around 3 p.m., according to a press release . They were called to the scene by a school resource officer who reported hearing gunshots coming from a Lawrence Housing Authority property. Officers found three young male victims — at least one of whom is a teenager — suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. All were treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital.
