Power restored to 300 more on Kauai following Hurricane Lowell

KAUAI, Hawaii (Island News) -- As Kauai Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) restoration efforts continue after Hurricane Lowell, 300 more customers have had their power restored in the last 24 hours. Power could begin to be restored to the North Shore this week. KIUC reported on Tuesday, Sept. 15, that hundreds of more customers are back with power over the past 24 hours as crews work to repair island-wide damage caused by Hurricane Lowell. These restorations bring the island up to roughly 83% of KIUC’s members who have been restored.
