With measles cases on the rise and midterm elections approaching, I’m sure the Republican Party is thrilled to see Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. showing his true anti-vaccine-kook colors. Kennedy was the keynote speaker Sept. 17 at a convention held by the inaccurately named Children’s Health Defense , a rabidly anti-vaccine , pro-nonsense group Kennedy founded long before President Donald Trump put one of the nation’s leading conspiracy theorists in charge of America’s health. As the chief of the HHS, Kennedy has largely stayed away from the group and tried, reportedly under some pressure from the White House , to cool his opposition to proven medical facts.
