PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Rose City Sportsnet is where women lead, and the network is proud to broadcast the first two rounds of the upcoming Portland Classic . Scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 10, the historic tournament remains the LPGA’s longest-running non-major event and the only tour stop in the Pacific Northwest. The first two rounds of play on Thursday and Friday will air live on Rose City Sportsnet. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the LPGA Tour visiting Portland, with Columbia Edgewater Country Club hosting the world’s top women golfers for the 40th time. “It obviously puts us on the map in the northwest as having a championship venue,” said Bryan Tunstill, general manager at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. “I think we’re the only course on a normal basis that has a major professional tour that’s coming to town.
