San Antonio teen who was subject of Amber Alert is found shot dead

A teenager who was reported missing and was the subject of an Amber Alert issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety has been found dead from gunshot wounds on San Antonio's North Side. The death of Darian Alexandre Rangel, 17, is being investigated as a murder, police said. His remains were discovered at about 7:50 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Vista Del Norte, near Walker Ranch Park, San Antonio police said. A passerby found Rangel dead in a grassy area and called 911.
