North Jersey residents should prepare for several rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms through at least Thursday, with forecasters warning that repeated downpours could lead to flash flooding across the region. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in effect from 8 a.m. Tuesday through Wednesday evening for portions of northeastern New Jersey and southeastern New York. The service also issued a severe thunderstorm warning that included parts of North Jersey.
