‘She was my everything’: Family and friends remember woman killed in Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU) - Family and friends are working to honor the life of CloeRae McBrayer, a 21-year-old woman who was killed in Fairbanks after police say her boyfriend, 22-year-old Landon Lowrance, accidentally shot her while “playing” with his revolver , before then taking his own life. McBrayer’s mother, Amanda Hooper, told Alaska’s News Source that her daughter, born and raised in Alabama, was the “All-American Girl”. “She’s the sunshine of the family,” she said. “She’d love to be the center of attention. She’s bubbly, she wants you to talk to everybody. You know, you couldn’t tell her no.” “She always told you the truth even if you didn’t like it,” said Marley walker, McBrayer’s lifelong friend. “She was so beautiful inside and out and she was just truly just one of the most amazing and closest friends I’ve ever had in my entire life.” Hooper said McBrayer had recently been accepted to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to pursue a degree in teaching.
