(DC News Now) -- A man is dead after exchanging gunfire with another man during a dispute at the Addison Road Metro station Monday afternoon, police said. In a post on the social platform X just minutes after 2:30 p.m., Metro Transit Police said officers responded to the Addison Road station for a reported shooting. The Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department confirmed with DC News Now that medics transported one person to the hospital in critical condition. In an update a short time later, Metro Transit Police said the person, a man, died at the hospital. According to investigators, the man was engaged in a dispute with another man outside the Metro station in the moments leading up to the shooting.
