Update: Police identified the victim as William Anderson, 45. A man is dead after being shot Monday night at a QuikTrip gas station and convenience store in Kansas City’s Northland, a police spokesman said. Officers responded to the shooting just before 9:45 p.m. at the QuikTrip in the 500 block of Northwest Englewood Road in Kansas City’s Tanglewood and Regency North neighborhood , Capt. Jake Becchina of the Kansas City Police Department said in a news release. There, witnesses directed officers to a vehicle in front of the store, where they found an unresponsive man who had been shot, Becchina said.
