Shooting victim who was found behind wheel of a car is identified by SC coroner

The South Carolina man who was killed over the weekend was publicly identified by the Richland County Coroner’s Office Monday. William Anderson IV, a 24-year-old from Columbia, is the man who died as a result of a fatal shooting and crash on Sept. 12, the coroner’s office said. On Saturday, deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department heard gunfire from a nearby parking lot at the Colony Apartments , according to the Columbia Police Department . The deputies responded and found a vehicle that had crashed into a building about a third of a mile away in the 6300 block of Bailey Street , police said.
