ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Two men were hospitalized in critical condition after a single-engine plane crashed Thursday night in Paulding County, according to the sheriff’s office. The crash happened on the western side of the county, less than a mile from Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office said. Dispatchers received a report of the crash at 8:06 p.m. in a wooded area near Hulseytown Road. First responders arrived within minutes and went into the woods to find the wreckage and the two survivors. Authorities said an 18-year-old student pilot and his 22-year-old flight instructor were aboard the Piper PA-28A. “I think it’s most important that we pray for those individuals and their families,” Sheriff Ashley Henson said. “When I got there, I was able to help get the two individuals up the hill.
