The National Weather Service released an updated flash flood warning at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Sullivan County. "At 2:30 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," states the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas." Locations impacted by the warning include Honesdale, Damascus, Callicoon, Cochecton, Prompton, Bethany, Hortonville, Hankins, Rutledgedale, Stalker, Roscoe, Hazel, Rockland, Fremont, Abrahamsville, North Branch, Calkins, Rileyville and Beach Lake.
