ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Lovejoy police said they arrested a suspect in a shooting that injured a boy over the weekend. Sunday, officers responded to a person shot in the area of 11622 Hastings Bridge Road, the address for the City of Lovejoy Community Center, where they found a boy with a gunshot wound. First responders provided medical care, and the boy was taken by ambulance to the hospital in stable condition. Police initially detained several people believed to have been involved in the shooting, and ended up arresting one person. Neither the suspect’s identity nor the charges against them has been released.
