A suspect is in custody after five people were stabbed Monday night at separate locations across Oakland in less than 30 minutes, leaving one person dead and four others injured, police said. The first stabbing was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m., while the fifth and final stabbing was reported just before 8:00 p.m., according to Oakland police. The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of family. Four other people were stabbed at locations across the city, including near the Fruitvale BART station.
