Suspect identified in deadly Las Vegas shooting of mother, two children

LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A mother, her teenage daughter, and a young boy are dead inside a central valley apartment after a man walked into a police station and confessed to shooting them, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, a man drove to the LVMPD Southeast Area Command substation and told officers he had just shot his girlfriend and her two children, Homicide Lieutenant Robert Price said. Officers immediately rushed to the apartment on the 5100 block of O’Bannon Drive, near Decatur Boulevard and Oakey Boulevard. When officers forced entry into the home, they found three people dead from gunshot wounds: a woman in her 40s, a teenage girl, and a boy under the age of 10. Price described the scene as “a very tragic, tragic situation.” While the children are believed to be the woman’s, police do not believe they are the suspect’s children.
