Suspect in custody after deadly Mooresville shooting, officials say

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man is custody without bond in connection with a deadly shooting in the eastern Mooresville area. Deputies responded Friday night to an address on Oak Breeze Drive, off of NC-150, just after 8:30 p.m., according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 38-year old Sarah Sharp. A man named Joshua Obugene, also 38, was found with multiple gunshot wounds but survived.
