Suspect linked to shootings in Pasadena, New Caney and Houston found dead

A man linked to three shootings across the Houston area was found dead Friday after a police standoff in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department . The suspect, who Pasadena Police identified as 56-year-old Pedro Gonzalez, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after police located him in Houston. The shooting spree began earlier Friday in Pasadena, where Gonzalez allegedly shot his ex-wife at a residence, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Gonzalez then drove to New Caney, where he allegedly shot a 52-year-old woman around 9:19 a.m. in the 2300 block of Thelma Lane, MCSO said. Deputies and EMS responded to the scene, and the woman was taken to a local hospital.
