WASHINGTON — D.C. police are searching for a suspect after two men were shot near the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro Station Thursday evening. According to police, officers responded around 6:05 p.m. to the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were conscious and breathing and were taken to local hospitals by D.C. Fire and EMS for treatment.
