A Jacksonville State University men's basketball player has been suspended from the team after being arrested on a rape charge, the university confirmed Friday. Daniel Tobiloba Adegboyega, 21, of Jacksonville, is charged with first-degree rape by forcible compulsion, according to an arrest warrant. The warrant says the incident happened on or about July 29. An attorney has been appointed to represent him. In a statement to WVTM 13, Jacksonville State University said it was aware of the arrest and Adegboyega had been suspended from the men's basketball team.
