Tallahassee firefighters find 1 dead in Thornridge Lane house fire

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A person was found dead after a house fire Monday morning on Thornridge Lane in Tallahassee. At about 10:09 a.m. on Sept. 8, the Tallahassee Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire after a caller reported the home was fully engulfed. Firefighters arrived in about five minutes and found heavy fire coming through the roof of a single-story home, prompting crews to immediately begin a fire attack. Primary and secondary searches were completed, and one person was located dead near the front doorway of the home.
