Teen dead after Friday night shooting in Old Town Manassas, 1 suspect arrested

A 16-year-old girl died and 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting during an event that police said drew thousands of people to Old Town Manassas, Virginia, on Friday. City of Manassas police said it happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. near the Manassas Train Depot. The man was taken to the hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition. According to police, he is also one of the suspects: Tasheem Douglas, 21, of Prince William County. He faces charges of second-degree murder, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon Authorities said they believe Douglas and another shooter exchanged gunfire near the railroad tracks before fleeing the immediate area.
