A 14-year-old girl is recovering after being shot in the leg Saturday during an altercation involving her mother near a Jimmy John's in Midtown. Louis police said officers responded after 6 p.m. Saturday to Vandeventer and Laclede avenues and found the girl inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition. Police believe the shooting followed a disagreement involving the girl's mother and several workers at the Jimmy John's sandwich shop in the 3800 block of Laclede.
