Saturday, September 19, 2026 80° Today's Paper Today • Last updated 9:25 a.m. A 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition after being shot early this morning in Halawa, authorities said. According to the Honolulu Police Department, at about 2:30 a.m., the victim and two other boys were in the parking lot of Halawa Housing on Kohomua Street when a vehicle entered the lot. An unknown male exited the vehicle, raised what appeared to be a handgun and fired multiple times, striking the victim, police said. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said personnel responded and treated the seriously injured boy with “advanced life support” at the scene and on the way to a hospital.
